The public says: "Give us low taxes to buy our crap, but give us better health and infrastructure at the same time, or else just leave us alone. If you do not let us indulge our new desires, we will reject your every proposal. We can stand alone, we are Irish, we are saints, we are scholars, we are schizophrenics."
