San Fermín, Go Bulls!

The Fiesta de San Fermín has started and the Bulls are running in Pamplona, plowing their way though slow American tourists who show up on the bunk from Spanish courses all over Spain looking for adventure and promptly get made into marmalade. This roman circus is repeated each year but this years interest in the Bullfight was revived by the reappearance from premature retirement of Jose Tomas where tickets were changing hands in Madrid for upwards of 600 quid to see the legendary star get minced to within an inch of his life. Go Bulls!

Summer transfer speculation tedium.

Overheard on Everton FC message board(thanks to my brother, the 'bluescouser', for the link):

Steve Pendelton: I know a Japanese girl who works in Russia and she told me Riquelme’s coming. I didn’t believe her but she reckons she can seal the deal with a happy ending. Our midfield is looking unreal!!!

Now he was great mates in the 80s with Bob Carolgees and Spit the Dog. It seems that Spit the Dog went for one of his big phlems in conversation one night in 1989 whilst they were out at their local Yates Wine Lodge and it sounded just like, "Everton to sign Deco".

Could just be a rumour, but you never know????
